I'm sorry I've been away...I was doing important things like hanging out with these guys and eating ice cream:

| "The Orange One" RedNWhite and Pie |
I went north on a work trip, but stayed an extra day to see my parents and spend time with them. We did a lot of nothing much--and it was wonderful. There is nothing like sitting on a rock in the sun watching goldfish, listening to birds, and admiring the flowers popping up to greet the spring.
Oh...and of course there is the obligatory pilgrimage to the Uconn Dairy Bar:
This was the line at the dairy bar on Sunday--all the way out the door. It was also a high of 50 degrees that day--you should see this place in the summertime. I love New Englanders, they are die hard ice cream eaters all year long. The weather outside has nothing to do with eating ice cream.
On Monday, Mom went around the yard and gardens digging up plants to bring to me or send with me, and I toddled along behind her watching :P There was only one trowel, so I took pictures:
I'm such a helpful daughter.

I'll be posting soon on how I got my plants home. I just got home late last night and immediately freed them from their packaging. So far they all seem to have made the trip just fine. I can't wait to show you pictures!

| waiting at the airport |
No matter how good a journey is, there is nothing quite like being picked up by your hero in his chariot at the airport. He scooped me up and spun me around--ending with a kiss--while the 6 or 7 other people waiting for their rides stared. We were definitely the most exciting thing they'd seen all day.
At times like that, when you know you're being watched, that it's hard to know if you should ignore them or if you should stop and say, "Yeah, I know...it's pretty awesome. He's a good kisser, too."
Now I want good ice cream! ;-)
